BrightLine Bags, Inc. was founded in 2008.

It is obvious that every pilot must have a bag. Ideally, every pilot wants a bag that is as small as possible to hold all of these things, and it should have many different compartments to hold everything. The bag should be compact, organized and efficient.

Founder Ross Bishop used his experience as an engineer to design his own flight backpack, partly out of frustration and partly for fun. He showed the resulting 3D CAD model to several pilot and flight instructor friends, and they all thought it was great. And so BrightLine Bags was born. The FLEX system was developed as an extension of the original BrightLine bag and is the answer to the accumulated feedback and requests from thousands of customers around the world.
