Risk Management for Civil UAVs and SORA is the second volume in the book series "Drone Guide", written by Maximilian Beck, the Drone author.

It provides an introduction to risk management for unmanned aerial systems. It presents the method "Specific Operational Risk Assessment", in short SORA-GER, developed by the BMVI and the state aviation authorities.

With its help, the size of the risk and the effectiveness of preventive measures can be determined on the basis of various influencing factors - for example the size of the aircraft or the population structure on the ground - so that planned ascents can be approved by the responsible aviation authority.
