Garmin D2 Air - Aviator Smartwatch

Garmin’s latest aviator smartwatch is a huge leap in both performance and value. Featuring the brightest screen ever on a Garmin aviation watch and a built-in pulse oximeter, the D2 Air is loaded with high performance features, but it still costs less than $500. Whether you’re navigating to the nearest airport, tracking a run, or listening to Spotify, this watch can do it all.

Beautiful touchscreen display
The first thing you notice about the D2 Air is the beautiful AMOLED touchscreen—it’s bright and colorful, even in direct sun, but the 30mm Gorilla Glass 3 lens and stainless steel bezel mean it’s tough enough for daily use. The touchscreen interface is easy to use and reduces button pushing, something you’ll appreciate in the cockpit. The screen can even be set to remain on full-time, so you don’t have to raise your wrist to get important updates.

Comfortable weight
That vibrant screen doesn’t mean extra weight. In fact, at just 1.6 oz., the D2 Air is almost 50% lighter than previous generation D2 watches. Measuring less than half an inch thick, it’s comfortable enough for all-day wear.

Built-in pulse oximeter
This watch is packed with sensors, including a built-in pulse oximeter to track your blood oxygen saturation. You can check to see whether you need supplemental oxygen in flight or see how you’re sleeping, without cumbersome fingertip monitors. Just tap the watch face and the wrist-based sensor goes to work.

Powerful GPS navigation
Of course no smartwatch from Garmin would be complete without GPS, and the D2 Air has all your favorite features: direct-to navigation with the built-in worldwide database, nearest airport, HSI screen, and airport information. Connect to the Garmin Pilot app to see updated weather, including METARs and TAFs. You can see current wind, ceiling, and visibility right on the main watch face.

Altimeter with vibrating alerts
Track your altitude changes or get alerts to use supplemental oxygen with the built-in altimeter. You can read current altitude or set custom alert altitudes. The watch provides vibrating alerts so you don’t even have to look at the screen.

Flight plan sharing
When connected to Garmin Pilot, it’s easy to transfer flight plans from your phone to your watch, so all devices stay in sync. Flight logging is also automatic, with the takeoff detection.

Smartphone alerts
The D2 Air is great for everyday living in addition to flying. Using the free Garmin Connect app on your smartphone, the watch can automatically display alerts for incoming emails, texts, and app alerts.

Headed out for a run? You can download music from Spotify or Amazon Music, then connect via Bluetooth to a headset or earbuds for wireless listening.

Contactless payment
Your D2 Air can also be your virtual wallet. Set up a profile with Garmin Pay and you can enjoy contactless payment at thousands of locations.

Sports tracking
Whatever activity you’re enjoying, this all-in-one smartwatch can track it. Sport modes include: walking, running, cycling, golf, swimming, and more. With the GPS and heart rate monitor, you can track every workout in detail, from pace to distance to pulse. Then share your workout from your smartphone.
