Safe and confident aeronautical radio is a basic requirement for successful flights. This textbook is the ideal support for all pilots to learn professional IFR radiotelephony and to prepare for the examination to obtain the General Radiotelephony Certificate AZF.
Using a practical example flight, all elements of an instrument flight are discussed where the pilot comes into contact with air traffic control - starting with flight planning and the task of a flight plan, through take-off, taxiing, take-off and cruising to landing. Not only are the voice groups explained, but also the IFR procedures behind them.
Furthermore, the book contains detailed information on special procedures such as flight rule changes or all-weather flight operations. In addition, emergency and urgent procedures are described. A radiotelephony example from everyday airline life, a comprehensive list of abbreviations and a vocabulary collection of English technical terms round off the contents.
NEW IN THIS EDITION:
The book has been adapted in accordance with the current specifications of the European Standardized Rules of the Air (SERA) and the current chart material. Minor corrections have been made and explanations added.
