Textbook:
Radiotelephony in aviation is the basis of every pilot. The textbook is the ideal support for all prospective pilots to prepare for the exams to obtain the radiotelephony certificates BZF I and II. In addition to basic theoretical knowledge, numerous three-dimensional and photo-realistic graphics, tables and illustrations are used to clearly explain the examination material.
At the beginning, the textbook deals with relevant authorities and organisations, legal regulations, flight services and important aviation publications. Meteorological basics, airspace classification as well as air traffic regulations and radio navigation follow directly afterwards. It also explains how the traffic of each airfield works and how the airfield itself is classified.
The detailed chapter on radiotelephony procedures explains idioms and speech groups (such as aerodromes with/without air traffic control, frequency/channel changes, flights under VFR rules, flight information service, emergency procedures, etc.), first in theory and then using numerous example dialogues between the pilot and the air traffic controller in German and English.
The BMVI's examination question catalogue, a comprehensive list of abbreviations and a vocabulary of English technical terms round off the contents.
